What We Believe
At Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, we believe that we are called to live out our faith together through worship, service, fellowship and ministry to our neighbors.
We value discipleship, and encourage and challenge each person to experience life change as they become more like Christ. We look to the Bible as authoritative for our life of Christian faith, and we believe that Christ is the author and perfector of that faith. We value the uniqueness of each person and strive to help each person live out their purpose in life within the context of their community.
We believe in building relationships, and work towards genuine connection of individuals to each other in friendship and service. We are called by the Great Commission to share the love of God and the gospel of hope to people of our community and around the world. We respond to the Great Commandment to love God with all of our heart, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
